Physics class is designed to study forces and their interactions. This upper level senior class will investigate Newton's Laws of Motion, Forces, Magnetism, Electricity, and Fluids. Focus within the class will include upper level math (trig) and science concepts.  Along with the classic studies of nature, students will be expect to be involved in several building projects outside of class that connect with the content being studied in class. These projects bring a wealth of knowledge that simply learning a subject from a book cannot do.

A favorite project from 2010 - 2011 was the building of a catapult. We plan to do this again, only on a bigger scale! Other projects include a container that can successfully cushion a raw egg's fall from the bleachers.

Physics students can expect the following in class:
    1. learning opportunities focusing on the forces of nature
    2. dedication to improving the student's understanding of physics
    3. clear cut explanations with focused intent to learn
    4. high expectations every day
    5. connections between physics and the real world
