The Basics

Hey Everyone! My Name is Mrs. Cumber or Coach Cumber and I will be your child's weightlifting, physical education, and health teacher! I am also the Assistant Softball Coach here at Shepherd and we have an AMAZING group of girls on this team! If your kiddo is interested in joining the team, please feel free to email or call me anytime! I can't wait to start this 2022-2023 school year! This will be a year full of learning, growth, achieving, and fun!

My Childhood

I was born in Cody, WY, but I grew up in Shepherd, MT with my parents and my younger sister. For my education, I attended Kindergarten through 5th grade at Pioneer School and transferred to Shepherd for 5th grade through 12th grade! I was a graduate from Shepherd and held a variety of records in the weight room and on the softball field. My heart has always bled blue and gold and I'm so excited to be back in my hometown to spread that excitement with the kiddos that are here now! 

My Education

After high school, I furthered my education and my sports career at MSU-Billings, beginning as a Pre-Med student and a college softball player, but finishing in a completely different realm. When I started college, I used to go back to visit my high school PE teacher, MR. BARTA, and he let me teach several of his classes. He sat me down one day and told me he knew exactly what I should be doing for a career. From that day forward, I knew exactly what I was meant to do and changed my major(s)! I finished college with two degrees, a degree in Health and Human Performance with a teaching option K-12 and a degree in History with a teaching option as well. I topped all of that off with a minor in coaching, which is one of my biggest passions!
