Señora Luptak

My name is Tana Luptak and I am very excited about being your child’s Spanish Teacher this year! I am in my seventh year of teaching here at Shepherd. I am originally from Havre, MT, but have lived in Billings for four years. I graduated from MSUB in May 2013 with my Bachelors Degree in Spanish with a Teaching Option.  I graduated with my Master's Degree in World Language Instruction from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota in 2018.

I love to travel. While in college I did a study abroad program where I lived in Spain for a semester, this helped perfect my Spanish and I love sharing my experiences with the students. I have done two trips with students so far. One to Spain in 2017. One to Costa Rica in 2018.

I have high expectations for all of my students and I know that they all will succeed in my class. The students will learn to speak, read, write and understand Spanish along with learning about the many Spanish-speaking countries and their interesting cultures. Learning a language should be fun and the best way to learn is to make mistakes!

Along with travel and my passion for Spanish, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, being active indoors and out, volunteering and trying new things. I have always dreamed of being a teacher and I am extremely grateful to have this opportunity to teach your children.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, my door is always open. If you are interested in visiting the class during school and helping out that would be wonderful. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us!

Gracias, Señora Luptak
