I hope everyone enjoyed the summer break. The school year is just around the corner and we are looking forward to the school year. We have made a few changes here and there but nothing major. Just a reminder to all students/parents of Shepherd Middle School. Students must pass their core classes all three years to be promoted to high school. Students who do not pass a core class, must pay to make them up in the summer or redo the class the following year. This process was passed two years ago by the School Board and is working well. Also, students who miss ten days of school will be considered truant and will be ticketed by our SRO on the eleventh missed day. It is a huge focus of ours to improve the attendance of our students and we need your help. Students who miss more than 10 days will not receive their credits for that semester. Please read your child’s planner when they bring it home for all expectations.
