Last year alone, the Field Guide received 1.3 million page views by users wanting to learn more about the amazing and diverse species that inhabit our state. In addition to providing patrons with accurate scientific information, the Field Guide allows them to download guides for various plant and animal groups as PDF files for use in the field. A companion site, the Species Snapshot allows users to create custom field guides for species known to occur in particular areas of the state.
